YouthNet, Teen REACH, and 21st Century Community Learning Center programs are low-cost after-school and summer activity programs for the youth of Albany Park ages 8-18.

YouthNet/Teen REACH at Roosevelt High School - YouthNet and Teen REACH are conducted at Roosevelt High School, 3436 W. Wilson Avenue, and offers a variety of recreational and educational activities. These services are conducted Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 8:30 PM during the school year and from 9:30 AM to 3 PM on those days during the Summer. Activities include basketball, volleyball, swimming, tutoring, homework help, computers, arts and crafts, theater, cooking, and a variety of special events including community service projects, job shadowing, and field trips. YouthNet 17/Albany Park is funded by the City of Chicago's Department of Human Services and made possible through the efforts of the Albany Park Community Center, Roosevelt High School, Chicago Police Department's District 17 (Albany Park), Youth Guidance, the Albany Park Theater Project, the Jensen Community Organization, Youth Outreach Services, Princeton in Chicago Schools, Swedish Covenant Hospital, West River Park Improvement Association, and many other agencies/organizations/individuals. This program is funded through a grant given by Chicago For Youth. A State of Illinois Discretionary Fund grant provided by Senator Ira Silverstein (8th District) also supports YouthNet/Teen REACH. Teen REACH at Hibbard and Volta Elementary Schools - This service is enrollment based and conducted Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM during the school year and from 9:00 AM to 3 PM on those days during the Summer at Roosevelt High School. Activities include basketball, volleyball, recreational games, tutoring, homework help, computers, arts and crafts, and a variety of special events including community service projects, job shadowing, and field trips. 21st Century Community Learning Center program at Haugan Elementary School - This service is enrollment based and conducted Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM during the school year and from 9:00 AM to 3 PM on those days during the Summer at Roosevelt High School. The objective is to bring together a wide-range of services and developmental activities that are designed to assist young people gain the skills they needed to improve academic performance, develop positive social behaviors, and adopt positive decision making and life skills. This program features activities in athletics, academic enrichment, art, social skills, and personal development. The program develops leadership skills and increases the academic performance of its members. This program is funded by the Illinois State Board of Education.
